Our Panama retreat was so amazing, we are going back!

We’re excited to host a yoga/surf retreat in Santa Catalina, Panama on January 25 - February 2, 2020. Santa Catalina is a hidden gem of Central America that was discovered by adventurous surfers in the 1970’s. We’ll also spend a day snorkeling at Coiba National Reserve, a World Heritage Site, known for its natural beauty.

Your days are open for horseback riding, or exploring, or enjoying the quiet and serene beaches that back onto the lush forest. Just a 10-minute walk from our boutique Santa Catalina Resort is the little town of Santa Catalina. Here you’ll find local surfers, fisherman and families on horseback strolling the main street. Embrace the slow pace and simple lifestyle that embodies this beautiful and remote community.

The Santa Catalina Resort is one of Panama’s finest beach resorts, and has a beautiful pool, yoga palapa’s and beautiful outdoor recreation and dining. The combination of daily yoga and surf will invigorate your mind and body. We’ll dine as a group, with local fresh fruits and local organic seafood each day, but you’re also welcome to check out the cafes in the local town.

After a fun-filled week with your fellow Ahimsa adventure travelers, you’ll return home feeling more relaxed and refreshed than you’ve ever been. This is our coolest, fun and sun trip yet!

Four years ago, I decided to take a leap into the unknown, and book a yoga retreat to celebrate my 30th birthday.  Way outside my comfort zone, and yet, one of the best decisions I've every made.  The Belize Yoga Retreat is a amazing experience.  A great combination of yoga, adventure and relaxtion. Yoga in the morning, adventure during the day, drinking from coconuts at night. What more could you as for?  I was a little intimidated, as a beginner yogi, but Kelly and Chuck teach each yoga session to all levels, and make everyone feel comfortable and included.  Jessie and Brad Wigh, owners of Belize Yoga, run a top notch trip, organizing everything, and making travel between locations absolutely seamless.  Which was great for me, traveling to an unknown place with people people I didn't know.  They couldn't have made it easier or more organized.  A remarkable opportunity to see actively see the world for a once in a lifetime kind of of trip. -Katie M.
