SUMMER YOGA FOR YOUR KIDS!

Why Yoga for Kids? What is YogaKids?

  1. Yoga can provide a lifelong foundation for well-being: physically, emotionally and spiritually.

  2. Yoga breathing informs children of their energy levels and teaches them techniques for both calming and energizing.

  3. Yoga postures build strong, limber, and healthy bodies. Verbal instruction improves body awareness and listening skills.

  4. Yoga is non-competitive, cultivating a stronger sense of self-esteem and self-acceptance.

  5. Yoga improves interpersonal skills: social interaction, compassion, and empathy.

  6. Yoga provides a quiet space for introspection.

YogaKids Instructor
Kim Vulinovic is the director and teacher of all the YogaKids classes at Ahimsa Yoga Studio. She has studied a variety of yoga styles for over 20 years and she is a Certified YogaKids Teacher (CYKT) and Hatha Yoga Teacher.

Kim has found that children are very open to the transformative power of yoga. Students learn proven stress-relieving techniques as well as gain fitness, fun, and educational benefits. Each YogaKids class is tailored to how children learn and play, integrating traditional yoga techniques with language arts, games, music, and storytelling. This Parents Choice Award-winning program employs ecology, anatomy, Earth care, and life lessons that echo the yogic principles of oneness, interdependence, and fun!
